Ice Legacy project. Crossing the 20 largest
icecaps on the planet, bridging
adventure and science.
Vincent and his expedition partner, the Norwegian Børge Ousland, have been undertaking the Icelegacy project, an ongoing series of expeditions that aim to cross the world’s 20 largest ice caps.
The objctive is to bridge the gap between adventure and science in order to give a stronger voice to the glacier recession and question us about our daily life impact on Nature. Awareness and concrete actions, of course, are at the heart of Icelegacy’s mission, as Børge and Vincent see the ice caps as our most fragile and vulnerable ecosystem. That is why the Ice Legacy effort includes a data-collection component designed to feed climate science efforts underway in front country labs.
