Day 40 – Middle summer snow

7am, the wind makes one of the rope louder and louder. Time to go on the water, wind is blowing from the South!

Looks like it’s Christmas this morning as progressively the snow is covering the deck. Beautiful! Very slippery though. So we strive to stay in the cockpit. 

We are doing 1,5hour watch each. At least we are trying because as soon as the situation gets more “icy” complicated, we end up being two on the deck. Seb is doing such a great job, helping both Eric and myself. Basically, he isn’t the one getting the most sleep. 

10pm, fog’s here. “Let’s call it a day” goes Seb. Navigating in foggy conditions surrounded by ice is tricky. Better be safe…
